That's an odd one.. have you removed the paddle yet? takes literally a minute two screws and one connector. I had mine off recently to do my steering wheel trim but can't remember how much you can...
Hope all goes well with the IQ, I looked at them before getting my 451 84, and although I've no doubt they're a more complete car, they lacked the character/customisation of the Smart and the road...
What do people think of these? Seems a little more convenient than a pump.

No sorry it was already in there. I'm no expert on these things but can't see why they couldn't do it, I've seen plenty of other fortwos with aftermarket double din units.
Have heard of this but thinking its unlikely as the leak seems to be from the edge of the sump where you'd expect if a gasket failed, I'm assuming when they crack the crack goes out from the sump...
Hi All,
I'm starting to get an oil leak from the sump on my 2011 Fortwo 84, I know this is a bit of an issue on these cars as no sump gasket was used only sealant and have read of a few people...
those cheeky buggers at photobucket.. didn't even realise.
Used Tolsens suggestion, nice and easy :-)

Thanks for the info Ozzy, have you seen/heard an MTK exhaust before?
I'm sure it isn't as good as an S-Mann but then its well under half the price so all relative.. I wouldn't say it's a...
Hi All,
Has anyone ever heard of or seen one of these exhausts on a 451?

This is the stealth/racing one if you...
Thought I'd finally get some pics up! Still enjoying the car though the remap and suspension hasn't happened yet, it's still in the pipeline though but think I'll be going for either smart4you...
Hi Pete,
I do have a pair of Design 8 fronts but not really looking to sell them, what I would say is running rears all round of either design will make a massive difference to stability in wind...
Always a tricky one.. really the best thing as has already been said is to create a larger gap between you and the car in front to make up for the goon behind you being too close.
One thing I did...
OK thanks, I was looking through some old threads yesterday and saw your name pop up discussing a 450 arb on a 451 and all sorts of ARB related stuff, I think the thread was around 5 years old!! safe...
Thanks for the info Pinger, may well be part of the reason that even with coilovers most manufacturers are listing a 10-30mm lowering range. Also interesting to hear the 450 has a rear arb as...
Just realised this kit for the 451 only comprises of rear dampers and springs all round so actually not great value for money at nearly £450.
Interesting though, I'm sure it probably mostly comes...

Well its now on 6.5' wheels and 195/50's all round.. I obviously need to put some more miles on it to fully understand the differences, but armed with £20 of Shells finest I took it for run out last...
I didn't see anyone mention iridium plugs improve outright performance? Besides plugs are a consumable and need to be replaced either way, they also cost £8 each.
The hoses don't cost £8 each and...
Appreciate if you don't send my thread down the toilet..
Ref hoses, as it seems with so many upgrades for Smarts, it seems the buyer is expected to buy them with bugger all info on how and why...
Ocracoke - T4P have told me for the later cars the hoses are of very little benefit and more about putting a bit of colour in the engine bay than anything else! So I'm leaving them for now. They...
No new posts here for over two months.. damn this place is quiet!
Anyway thanks for the comments guys. A quick update on how I'm getting on, all going well and I'm in the middle of a few...
Hi All,
Does anyone have any experience of this kit? It looks a good compromise for daily driver, but would be interested to hear how the ride is and to see how a 451 sits with this kit fitted..
This thread will be worth following if anyone is interested, with the mods this chaps doing we should get to see where the limit is without opening up the engine, and will most likely see proof also....
