Main headlight one. Did you sort your lights. When I have mine on it buzzes on the broken bulb side but only if I tap it for some reason

Yep, took it out cleaned it and put it back in, worked fine
Easy job to do, don't know what people are on about it being difficult

Is it? I've been worried about breaking something and not being able to get my arms through.

Oh and meshman, I have a 450 pure. What's your name by the way?

Hardest thing to do it getting the caps back on over the lights, but it's still do-able. Good luck!

Yateseys right. Take real notice of how the black plastic cap comes off as figuring it later is a pig. I resorted to looking at a spare complete unit lying off the car. More than once.
Worry less about getting your arm (only one!)through and more about getting it back out! If your forearms aren't too muscular you should manage.

We run the same car - but get different mpg. Is yours the 60hp (45kW) version?

My name is Forbes. And yes that is my first name.

And the steering isn't too good. Are the Roadsters as low geared as on the fortwo? When I bought mine I asked the dealer if there was a clamp on knob on the options list to fit to the steering wheel rim. He said no. You get one as standard on a forklift. Is there a quicker rack for 4-2? From Roadster? Mk1 Escort?

I find that when the tyres are full and pumped up properly the handling is great!

It's not the handling that bothers me but the sheer amount of wheel twirling required. The steering with bigger tyres gets lighter so could easily handle a quicker rack. There are some S bends where it's a struggle to steer fast enough.
Perhaps a Roadster owner can advise.

This is my first posting to Smartz. Has anybody a shared experience of gearbox failure on a For Two. Mine is a 53 plate. Has been in Dealers three times for a problem that is still a problem. The car loses power: the dash display goes to 3 horizontal lines and won't engage a gear. Yesterday after a month in the dealers it broke down within 20 minutes of collecting it.

Plenty have. It's not a problem with the gearbox but peripheral to it, and is known as the '3 bar problem'.

Check the link, and enter '3 bar problem' on FQ101 site and search the same on this forum. There's loads...
    It's fixable though.
    And hey, welcome to Smartz!
