Strange because it is the experience of all the engine rebuilders that I have spoken to and 10-ish years of monitoring most of the forums I have seen scores of each having been reported.
The only 700s that don't need rebuilding so much are the Roadster units, which are also fitted to the 450 Brabus.

You make a definitive statement that '700's need rebuilding just as much as 600's' because you've talked to people, monitored forums, etc. Personally my experience is not just talking to people and forums I actually rebuild them from time to time. I wonder if anyone else on here will be willing to say that there is absolutely no difference between the two regarding longevity???

    Cheers!

OK that makes sense. Years back people just referred to the engine as a Suprex.

The Suprex gets it's name from two parts of the design. First the 'Su' is taken from the subfloor engine location, the 'prex' reffers to the compressor (turbocharger).

    Cheers!
