    Brabus control box

To activate paddleshift on a 600cc car, what are the options? I believe TANs won't work?

And does anyone have any idea how much it is?

    Thanks in advance

Do you have a 600cc/700cc car and do you have a 600cc/700cc wheel on both yours and simons car?

both are 600cc,any paddle shift wheel (2 spoke/3 spoke) will work with the control box, cost for box £100ish,wheel ?.2 hour job from start to finnish with a coffee break for me,if you are going to do it yourself take your time and follow the instructions on evils site.

remember you have the ESP on the back of the wheel which you don,t use.a word of caution unlock the car and disconnect the battery for 10mins and put the keys back in the house til you have finnished the job, that way you won't be tempted to switch the ignition on before the seats go back in if you have air bags in them,(people forget about them) make a list of everything you do and then cross them off as you re-do them, simples

Can someone remind me why turning on the ignition with the seats out is such a bad idea wrt airbags? Its the sort of thing I'd probably do!

I imagine it would freak the system out and you'd have to take your car somewhere to get the airbag fault light reset.

if you have airbags in the seats (not all smarts do) and they are disconnected from the car it will put your airbag light on and record a fault on the ECU.basicaly when you switch the ignition on the ECU runs a system check on the car to make sure everthing is ok before you drive so if it can't find a airbag in the seats it puts a light on and logs it,you will have to go to merc to be checked out and ECU reset.other means of resetting are available at good indies.
