    Timing belt or timing chain?

    Hi.

Could anyone tell me if my 1.3 Forfour has a cam timing belt or a cam timing chain? A friend of mine seems to think that the Mitsubishi engine has a timing chain.

    Thanks, Zodian.

All Mitsubishi engines for the forfour/Colt exc. Brabus/CZT have a timing chain.

Thanks for answering so quickly. It's a load off my mind as was worried that I might be due a timing belt change, but being a chain, and no rattling from tensioners etc, I guess I'm off-the-hook. Been looking all over the net for a diagram of the engine but couldn't find one.

    Thanks again, Zodian.
