    Painting calipers I can buy into, if they're big Brembo's. Highlighting small/drum brakes is for me a step backwards. It takes a fast looking car and draws attention to the fact it isn't actually that quick. I say keep the mystique and leave them guessing...

    This time I am looking for a cheap fortwo.

    A 1000 fortwo will be nothing but trouble and be pre-rebuild.
    It's a false economy buying a cheap fortwo. You need to realistically be close to double that budget to buy one that stands a chance of not being a complete money pit.

    Speak to fudgesmart - they have a local garage for whom they rebuild fortwo's for retail. From what I recall they regularly have some in at around the 1800-2200 price point.
