    I'm blushing now lol,

like most people on here happy to lend a hand when its needed. Ive separated the turbo from the manifold and its in pretty good nick, i was going to take it apart with my son and get one of the refurb kits and rebuild it, but i'd rather it go to keeping a Smart on the road.

I just want to ask - are you sure it's the turbo seals and not valve stem seals as valve seals give the same smoking on start up. (They also tend to issue smoke when the throttle is released with some revs on - ie a puff of smoke visible in your mirrors on lifting off).

I'm almost hoping it is the turbo though given JF's generous offer of help in keeping a smart alive.

And is your car 599 cc?

    Hi Polly Pocket Rocket

Have you decided if you're breaking your car?

If so do you have the exhaust and valance?

    Many thanks
