Smart Road Trips! Because Explorer!

So myself and my team are planning on doing a road trip in the next few months, as in fully documented and photographed etc but we have three problems.

1. I have complete faith in my Smart, but what kind of mileage would be pushing it too much over a week or so road trip?

2. Inspire me with pictures of your epic trips and scenery in your Smart.

3. Who gets to drive it. My guys are already arguing about who will drive my BMW or the Smart despite the BMW being twice the car, its damn funny!

This is a fun thread, even Gaz is welcome to pull the piss, I am sure some of you guys must have had some epic trips already!

I drove a Smart Roadie from some strange place in Scotland (and had trouble getting in and out of it) to Leeds. (About 3-4 hours, starting at 11pm!)
Stopped at my mums for a couple of nights (and drove a 79 year old woman around in it to every shop she wanted to visit!!!!)
From there, drove it to London (for a commercial ferry to Sweden).
Then another 1200 miles (15 hours drive) to get it home.
I reckon the total trip was over 2000 miles...with a single driver.

Was no problem at all...apart from the wind noise at over 80mph!

Oh, and got 65mpg out of it, even though I was "testing" it at some times.

Planning to take a trip along Trollstigen (Google it) later this year...so that should test brakes and gearbox. (Hopefully, sans roof).

Read a book a while back about a guy who raced his 450 Brabus in the Cannonball Run Europe (and won!)

Do NOT drive the BMW....we all know what sort of people drive them...and what the W stands for... (Boys Must W***).
I remember trying to wind a work mate of mine up when he bought one....told him he only bought it 'cos he thought it was the next model up to a BMX. (It took him over a week before he got the joke!!!!)

I lived with the stigma of buying a Volvo S80 a few years ago, even if I didn't have the hat to wear in it (I liked the shape of the a$$, even though I didn't see my own very often, loads of other people did )....but there'd have to be a real serious reason for me to drive a Beemer!

BMWs are the posh reps Mondeos....(Oh, I had a couple of those too )

Tescos was a 3 hour trip for me when I took my mum in the Roadie!!!

When you say you'd take a spare....buy cheap, buy twice...you know you should always pay for Duracell batteries!
