    new colour already on but v dull..............

    have to say, normal vinyl is so much harder to work than fly eyes over such a large area

    and some sound proofing just coz....

    using wickes flashing tape as a 1/5 cost option over dynomat!!



    remove everything from the boot...



    put in place and seam roller it all down...



    and do the sides/arches if necessary...





    All for 10

    ordered the blue plastidip and reinstated my blue engine cover...











    i gave it a few days to cure then fitted it

    Looks great! I do have to say that I preferred the orange colour on it.... have you thought about blue as a replacement? Although Im not sure you will want to do it again as youve put vinyl on it. I never really liked the forfour but I have to say yours is pretty damn good. A million times better than that pile of ugly crap they are going to bring out with the same name later this year

    What was the result of your sound proofing project, what kind of percentage would you say was the difference.

    Was it more dreadining or actule audible proofing?

    the tinny noises of rain, spray and road noise is reduced quite a lot really.

    actual noise like the exhaust note duller but not massively reduced in volume.
