    Sudden loss of power

Hello guys! I cant believe I have only just found this forum.

I have an issue with my forfour, it can drive ok then all of a sudden when stopped at traffic lights or if the engine is turned off for a couple of minutes it loses all power. I can put my foot down on the accelerator and nothing.
What cures it is turning off the engine and waiting about 15 seconds, there is then this click from the passenger side somewhere and it starts and runs fine?. The engine management light is on when this problem arises also.
I thought the car just needed a good service but no. I have read it could need the TVA cleaning?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
