Smart still doing the Personal leasing con

Just checked with the Smart website.

Smart are still at it with this con, and wonder why the new Fortwo is not being taken on...

Lease new Smart Forfour for 3 years, down payment of £145.
then 3 years at £145.

Lease new Smart Fortwo, for 3 years down payment is a staggering £1815.
then 3 years at £135.

That is a crazy difference in down payment.

Would be interesting to see the sales/leasing figures comparing the two cars.

So far I have seen a few new Forfours on the road, and absolutely no new Fortwos.

Why's it "a con" ?

The forfour deal ((without the deposit) is actually £149 and over 48 months as far as I can see
That extra 12 months equates to £1788

The Fortwo is £139 and over 36 months so not much of a skewed difference as you suggest

If you go to one of the mercedes owned smart dealers , they're still doing a £99pm (£999 down) 24 month deal 'til the end of this month.

That LINK looks a better deal for the Forfour. Did not see that one

Pity there is nothing as good for the Fortwo leasing deal with the high initial payment. (unless you can spot otherwise).

PS...saw a new Forfour today going past me the other way. So they are out there.
