    Loss of power 2009 451CDI

    Hello
Just bought a CDi 2009 cab to use as a run about
Great little car but already encountered the loss of power recorded by members over the years.
Loss of power and sort of limp mode no lights and turn off turn on resets and car runs as normal.
Happened 3 times in my 6weeks of ownership a bit scary when on the motorway.
Anyway was this problem ever solved?
I will be most grateful for any advice
    Great forum
    Vic

My neighbour had one. He was a proud Cdi owner initially. Kept bragging about the good fuel mileage and high engine power. The whistle took on a different tune when he had to keep taking the car for costly visits to the dealer for silly emission control related problems. He sold his Smart in the end. It was far too costly to keep on the road.

No point me trying to explain. Go to Evilution and search "451 Diesel 54bhp Safe Mode".
