    Sachs parts at bargain prices

    Sachs parts for Smart 450:

A great find only discovered a few days ago:

    Sachs clutch actuator 3981 000 070: 138.31 http://sachsclutchkits.co.uk/index.p...-actuator.html

    Sachs rear shocks 290 909: 23.13 http://sachsclutchkits.co.uk/index.p...-absorber.html

    Sachs front shocks 310 015: 22.17 http://sachsclutchkits.co.uk/index.p...-absorber.html

I have no experience with these people but have recently ordered a pair of rear shocks. Not yet arrived, order being processed.

Prices include VAT. Cheapest UK delivery is 7.95 per order.

The Sachs parts referenced above (Clutch actuator and Clutch kit), via Mister Auto appear to be for the 599cc engine. Maybe we need a better source for the Sachs part numbers?

Sachsclutchkits.co.uk appear to have a vehicle selection part of the web page, but it does not appear to work. Putting Smart in to the search box at the top of the page only produces 2 items - a Clutch kit and shock absorbers. Generic pictures so you can't even see if they look correct.

If the parts are correct, their prices are very good.

Yes, clutch in post # 2 is for a 600 cc Smart. Parts by vehicle does not appear to work so you have to research Sachs part numbers yourself.

A pair of very reasonably priced Sachs rear shocks arrived this afternoon complete with multilingual instructions on how to dispose of the old:

These shocks are made by Bilstein in Rumania, judging by the Bilstein part number BNE6797 which is hard stamped on them.

Price paid 23.13 each inclusive of VAT.

For anyone after Sachs parts, the ZF Webcat page can be used to get the correct Sachs part number.

The part number for the 700cc clutch is 3089 000 033. The same number appears to be listed for all the 700cc cars including the Roadster and Brabus variants.

The links have gone dead so try this supplier:

Possibly same people as before. Prices, shipping rates and web site layout are all same as previous. Also just as slow.
