If you are needing to change the operating parameters of the clutch other than the normal teaching and biting point then you have other problems. It is not necessary unless you are doing it to mask a potential fault.

True true but i dont know how to change the parameters of the clutch but i know few cars that are suffering with this issue. I dont know how or what is happening but the clutch adjustment goes out of sync quickly. So if you know what cause this, then ill be happy to hear it from you Mjolinor.

Perhaps the usual issue with wiring? That is why I tend to spend more time under my Smart than in bed making sure wiring is properly clamped and not chafing anywhere.

I think you can read back the clutch parameters after you teach. Have you done that and done it again after a few weeks to see if the ECU is remembering the settings?

If i ihave problems with a reteach of a clutch/bitepoint/slippoint , i always do a recode of the gearbox and then the reteach again .
    99% it works.
