Top of shock needs a 7 mm Allen socket, not a T45.

There must be a lot of variation between shocks.

My originals, complete with Smart stickers and part numbers were T45, my new KYBs are Hex

I am now the proud owner of these, thanks to regular forum contributor.

I'm never likely to use them again, so they will be offered for sale so I can try to recover some of the ever escalating tools cost that this project has incurred.

Wow - just one year later?

That is shocking.

I had considered Anschler, but KYB seemed to have a good reputation so chose them instead.

My KYB front springs lasted just four years before snapping - and they are horribly corroded too

At least I get to use the shock clamp again, glad I didn't sell it after all

I have since added an Impact U Joint to my tool collection, wonder whether that might get used
