Why three keys? I thought two was standard issue.

It could be crappy batteries or you are pressing buttons when you store the key somewhere, maybe in your pocket or wherever.

If you want to post one to me I will look at it.

Maybe, but then they've all gone wrong at the same time!

Because the car came with one when I bought it and I needed a spare and it didn't cost much more to do two than the extortionate price of one. That was years ago, probably 8 or 9 years, so decided that as I am likely to lose one having an extra spare was a good idea, so there is one original (I believe) and two newer keys!

In that case it is not likely to be the keys.
Are you using a batch of batteries that came from the same place?
Is it damp where you keep the keys?

No, i've bought msotly Energiser Batteries, Renata, & Unicell, and a few unamed cheapies, when the keys are eating batteries it doesn't seem to matter what brand. They've come from all over (via Amazon) and checking back I've been having this issue on and off (but getting worse until codes are cleared) since Jan 2015! In that time I've used 20+ batteries!

Not damp where I keep the keys either. It's all very strange. The only thing that seems to help is clearing the codes at the garage. The first time we did it the key lasted 6 months, this last time, the main key lasted two weeks and am now on second battery which has been ok last two days! So far so good!

    You're not joking there.

I've had my 450 for 12 years now. I've replaced the key batteries once - preventatively rather than through necessity. Yours is well wayward.

I'll hazard a guess the car receiver is failing
You're so money supermarket and you don't even know it!
