    Smart 450 gearbox teach -in

hi i have a 2003 700 with a small problem, every time i get in it and just turn on the ignition the gearbox decides to do a calibrate itself,
then i have nothing in the dash display, ( no N and no lines etc )
i disconnect the battery then connect , then it re calibrates the gearbox again then all fine, until i leave the car for about 4 hours, then put key in and turn to igniton on and it does it all again, any ideas. no faults on mb star

Check wiring to gear change motor and angle turn sensor at end of shift drum.

thanks tolsen, done that (school boy stuff ) lol replaced new increment turn sensor, , solved, took out the new (smart turn sensor ) tested it with my meter the resistance for change and positioning, then back on gearbox and then tested with star and was so inconsistent on the positioning would not calibrate or re-teach , so ordered a replacement again from smarts, and all was good , gearbox adaptation and drag point all good,,
