    Think of it like a bell that you're trying to make ding..... if you hold certain parts of it you can deaden/damp the resonance completely .... there must be little supporting this rock , or little actually touching the ground which would deaden the resonance.
    That's my thinking anyway.

    and yes I'd guess it's granite.

    The stone is supported on only a few points so I guess you are right there Reinaldo.
    Drives a Smart Cdi - 65 to 85 MPG
