2008 Smart ForTwo Brabus - ESP Fault

    Hi

The ESP fault light comes on after a few minutes of driving / braking etc. I'm guessing it's a reluctor ring. As I understand it the ring can be changed or the drive shaft. Has anyone on here had either job done - what sort of cost it it? The car is under warranty with a limit to any claim.

    Thanks

Turns out it's not an ABS ring - it's the steering wheel angle sensor. Luckily they unit is sold separately from the steering wheel on the 451. Still not the cheapest job......

Steering angle sensor clock spring costs about 230. Then add labour cost. Perhaps total fee around 550?

Appears to be two for the 451 based on chassis #

Is the only way to buy a SAS for a 450 to buy the complete wheel?
