    Mao ordered the Chinese to melt down their pans and pots. That is why Chinese brake disks are so cheap.

    Unless you live in the Alps or track your car, you don't really use the brakes

    I must admit I seldom use my brakes mainly because I am a smart driver. That is, I think, partly the reason why my brake disks always tend to form thick cakes of rust resembling Saturn’s rings.

    I thought Saturn's rings were predominantly ice and methane crystals.
