My brakes do not lock the wheels when braking at speed. Something is wrong with yours if yours lock up and you should have that sorted as a matter of urgency.

If you had to stop in a hurry , god help the person in front

I'm sure the insurance would be happy to know you're using ball bearings instead of wheel weights like 99.8% of the population

Will be removing the BBs from the Trekka’s front wheels. They are too wide so unsuitable for B.B. balancing. Happy with their performance in the narrow front wheels of my 450 so those BBs will remain. Clever little things these BBs. Wonder why their brains don’t turn dizzy and loose their balance when they spin around fast inside my wheels.

Had the front wheels off my Trekka today, took them off the rims and removed the BB ammo balls. The BB looked like new and I could see no visible wear to the internal wall of tyres.
Still can not figure out why the clever BBs do not get dizzy when spinning around in total darkness without seeing anyy horizon.

    Trekka front wheels update:
I removed the old balancing weights and adhesive patches from older weights all over the rims plus gave them a good going over with the pressure washer. Put tyres back on their rims and found when on a test drive that both tyres were in perfect balance. Confirmed that later on a spin balancing machine. Less than 5 grams imbalance on both so no point adding weights.
