    How manny horses for 1k

Realistically how much can I hope to squeeze out of my tiny engine I was thinking,

    Remap 300
    Exhaust fitted by me 300
Brabus TIK pipe fitted by me 70
ITG Filter fitted by me 35

Id expect about 110-120 with the above is this realistic?

So im about 700 in is there anything else I could have done will the 300 ive not spent.

Im used to Vauxhalls where everyones swapping turbos and getting tubular manifolds made up for them is this not done on smarts never seen it after searching, I wouldnt mind around 120-130bhp is this do-able ive seen somewhere offering a 120Bhp map for a 80bhp roady im not convinced.

    Thanks in advance.
    BTW its a 05 roady 80bhp.

People do get them to that kind of figure but I think with a charge cooler as well.

Find someone who works on Smarts to do the remap and ask them about which make of exhaust to go for.
Silicon or stainless intercooler pipes could help as well.

Try contacting Smartarse or BIGperformance as they'll have a better knowledge about how much hp mods will give and what makes to go for.

Btw check out evilution.co.uk and fq101.co.uk
The fortwo shares the same engine as the roadster but with a smaller turbo and different injectors and cam. So if you see a mod for the fortwo engine it will be relevant to yours.

    And good luck with it

I might be wrong, but in my brochure for the roadster it says they all have a charge cooling system as standard.

    I think.........therefore I am No seriously:-

Standard Roadsters/Coupes were fitted with an Intercooler (air cooled)

Brabus/Brabi [wonder if thats a word ] were fitted with a charge cooler (liquid cooled)

    Could be wrong

Also budget another 1000 for when your poor engine collapses from being run above it's limit and sprays you with boiling oil, requiring a costly rebuild

as long as it is serviced regularly, with an oil change between services, you should be ok.

If its an 80bhp car, i would say realistically, 115bhp is easily achievable.

Variable build quality of the engines means that achievable power increases differ from car to car.

I've heard of cars with minimal mods, such as change of air filter, reach Brabus performance levels.

I'd get your car on a rolling road before any mods and then see what you get to after you've done the mods.
